MUK BCWS add-in for Autodesk Revit
1. Who we are
The MUK BCWS add-in ("the App") is published by Monso MEP Engineering UK. Ltd (company number 16874507), registered office Office 67, Millmead Business Centre, Millmead Road, London, N17 9QU ("we", "us"). For any privacy question contact info@monsomep.co.uk.
2. Summary
The App runs entirely inside Autodesk Revit on your computer. It does not collect, store or send your Revit models, project data, files, usage statistics or any analytics. The only personal data involved is your Autodesk user ID, which is used to confirm with Autodesk that your account holds a valid licence for the App.
3. Data processed
- Autodesk user ID of the account signed in to Revit (an anonymous identifier, not your name or e-mail). Why: to check with the Autodesk App Store that you have an active subscription to the App (licence check). Where it goes: sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to Autodesk's entitlement service, together with the App's store ID; we do not receive or store it on our servers. How long: not retained by us; Autodesk processes it under its own privacy statement.
- Licence cache: the same user ID, the App's store ID and the date of the last successful check. Why: so the App keeps working for up to 30 days without an internet connection. Where it goes: stored only on your computer, in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Monso MEP\MUKBCWS\license.cache. How long: overwritten at each check; deleted if the licence is no longer valid. You may delete it at any time. - Trial start date, linked to a one-way hash of your Autodesk user ID (the ID itself is not stored). Why: to give you the 30-day free trial and know when it ends. Where it goes: stored only on your computer, in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Monso MEP\MUKBCWS\trial.datand the Windows registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Monso MEP\MUKBCWS). How long: kept so the trial is not restarted; removed if you delete those entries.
The free edition of the App performs no licence check and processes no personal data at all.
4. Purchases and payments
Purchases and payments are handled entirely by Autodesk through the Autodesk App Store and its payment processor. We do not receive your payment details. Autodesk may share with us, as the publisher, the information needed to manage sales and support, as described in the Autodesk App Store publisher terms.
5. Legal basis
We process the Autodesk user ID to perform the licence contract you entered into when obtaining the App (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
6. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share personal data. The only third party involved is Autodesk, Inc. and its affiliates, which operate the App Store and the entitlement service. See the Autodesk Privacy Statement.
7. Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to it. Contact us at the address above. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
8. Security
The licence check uses HTTPS. The App contains no tracking, advertising or third-party analytics components.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published with the next App update and on the App Store listing, with a new effective date.
